Wat.Valley J-3 Elite Race Kamden Finishes a strong 3rd in SL the first day, and 1st for first year J-3's. *Day 2 Kamden still struggles with his GS turns as we work on dialing him in on his new set up finishing 9th overall and 2nd place for first yr J-3's. Over 100 top J-3 boys were at this race, which is considered an early season J/O. Great Job Kamden! *Kamden Places 3rd at Toni Buttinger SL * Feb 6th Sunday River SG Qualifier Kamden had a great stand up finish and a 5th place towards the J/O Qualifiers. He still needs to complete his next 2 races to have a chance to make J/Os Feb 7+8 Elite SG Camp KAMDEN WINS THE FIRST RUN! Sugarbush VT. Fantastic, 2 days after his 5th place finish in the ME SG Qualifier, Kamden show promise Winning the first run of SG, considering he is a first year J-3!! You go! Feb 13th Jr High Class A States GS Kamden wins the GS by over 6 seconds! WOW! Feb 16th Kamden WINS Class A State SL by a combined 8.9 seconds! Leading by 3.5 seconds the first run, Kamden layed down what many said was the best run at a Jr High level they had ever seen!! You just had to be there!! *Feb 17th GUS PITOU GSKamden skied clean and into 3rd first run (behind 2nd by .04), then moved up into 2nd overall with a good looking 2nd run.
*Feb 23 Sugarloaf GS,Kamden finsihes 2-6 and 2nd overall. The 6th will prove to be costly. *Feb 24 th Titcomb SL Finishing 4th, 1st and 4th overall left Kamden going in tied with 13 points but only 6 total finishes out of a possible 13 total!
Kamden Finishes 1st for First Year J-3 Boys Overall at the J/O's and 9th overall total. With a 5th in SL, 11th in SG and 13th in GS Kamden had a great J/O on a tough, icy couse each event. For the first year J-3 Boys a 1st in SL and SG and 3rd in GS earned Kamden an invitaion to the Lake Placid Olympic Training Center In Dec of 2002 for 4 days prior to the elite race to be held! KUDOS!
